Atlanta Police officers pulled a passenger from a flaming car after an accident early Sunday, August 5, according to a statement from the Atlanta Police Department.

People who saw the incident helped remove people from the car, but a passenger was unconscious and still trapped when the police arrived, according to the police.

Officers used fire extinguishers to keep the fire from burning the passenger as they tried to remove them from the car.

The vehicle struck a metal utility pole, causing the engine to burst into flames, according to Fox 5.

Three people, including the rescued passenger, were sent to Grady Hospital and were reportedly in stable condition.
