Flash flooding hit Queens, New York, on Tuesday, August 7, as thunderstorms swept through the Tri-state area.

This video filmed by eyewitness Nicole Bermeo shows water rushing along Queens Boulevard, close to the intersection with 63rd Drive.

During the storm, two men were left in a critical condition after being struck by lightning in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens, NBC New York reported. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of New York and New Jersey, the report said. Credit: Nicole Bermeo via Storyful
