President Moon Jae-in is currently meeting with five top national leaders for a working lunch.
They're said to be discussing various issues ranging from North Korea to domestic affairs.
For more on this, we now connect to our Shin Se-min at the top office.
Se-min, what do we know about this lunch meeting?
Hi Ji-yoon,... the luncheon got underway at noon,... a matter of minutes ago,... and as you mentioned it brings together the president and five senior legislative, administrative and judiciary figures.
During lunch, they are widely expected to talk about North Korea-related issues,… as well as governmental efforts for deregulation and even some of the tough economic challenges facing the nation.
And let me tell you about the lunch guests joining the president,… they are the newly inaugurated parliamentary speaker Moon Hee-sang, Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon, Supreme Court Chief Justice Kim Meong-su , Constitutional Court Chief Justice Lee Jin-sung and the National Election Commission Chair Kwon Soon-il .
Meetings like this take place from time to time,… but this one is the first in three months.
The previous one took place after President Moon held his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in May.
We don't have many details on the specifics of the meeting quite yet, but I'll be sure to bring you all the developments as we get them.
Jiyoon?
