Korea's Ministry of Education and the Northeast Asian History Foundation are holding an international academic seminar to address Japan's repeated and unjustified claims over Korea's eastern Dokdo Island.
The two-day conference that begins today.... invites four dozen experts from home and abroad,... who will review research on Dokdo and seek directions for research going forward.
Tokyo unveiled new teaching guidelines in July,... mandating its decision to incorrectly teach Japanese high school students that Dokdo is Japanese territory.
