Starbucks Introduces Plant-Based Protein Coffee The coffee giant chain has introduced Protein Blended Cold Brew in almond and
cacao flavors. The drink, which is made from pea and brown rice protein, is available now through the fall while supplies last. The protein coffee is said to be an extension of the chain’s 3-year-old Cold Brew line. They're currently priced at $5.95 and are available at participating stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. Plant-based protein is becoming a growing trend in the United States. According to research firm NPD Group, three out of five Americans say they want more protein in their diets.
