SF Gate reports that “Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt had quite the on-air flub Thursday morning. Earhardt, while attempting to ad lib a list of moments that "make America great" made the historically false statement “We defeated communist Japan,". Earhardt's misstep is that World War II Japan was not a Communist country but was a fascist military dictatorship presided over by Emperor Hirohito. Earhardt’s co-host Steve Doocy did his best to gloss over the gaffe saying “Yep, Communism and Japan and so many other things as well.”
