A tornado swirled through eastern Oklahoma, touching down near Chouteau on August 19, Mayes County Emergency Management confirmed.

Several buildings were damaged by the tornado, in the town of Inola damage was reported at Moore’s Fish Farm, Unrau Meat Processing and Eden Mennonite Church. Firefighters confirmed they also responded to reports of downed trees.
