President Trump awards a posthumous Medal of Honor to Sgt. John Chapman. His final and heroic story took place during a firefight with Al Qaeda combatants in 2002, where he was eventually gunned down, but took multiple fighters in the process. This is the first medal of honor awarded to the Air Force since the Vietnam war. We congratulate his family and honor his service to the nation.
