Man Thinks He’s About To Save A Giant Beaver Stuck In The River – Moves Closer And Realizes The Unimaginable
Usually when I’m out with my dog, everything goes fine. I enjoy some fresh air, think about life and maybe listen to music on my headphones.
But every now and then, my dog catches the scent of something and runs off into the woods.
I usually do not think much of it, but I do sometimes wonder what my dog gets up to…
When Jim Passmore went out for a walk with his dogs in Oklahoma, he noticed when they found something at a nearby brook.
At first, Jim thought they found a giant beaver stuck at the water’s edge — but it turned out to be something completely different.
Because there are beavers in the area, it was not that strange that Jim thought he found one.
But after closer examination, Jim realized it was actually a tired, old dog. He called the authorities and together they pulled the immobile animal from the water.
The dog, who would soon be called Teddy, was quite overweight. Plus, according to the police, the poor 8-year-old dog had a hard time getting up.
Teddy’s age and extra weight made it difficult for him to get out of the water.
Thankfully, Teddy’s rescuers was able to save him and bring him to Alta Vista Animal Hospital to recover.
Shockingly, this was not the only time that Teddy’s life would be saved.
After Teddy recovered, the hospital decided to put him down, as there was no room for him there He lay in a cage behind bars and awaited death.
But thankfully, the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals soon took Teddy.
Teddy was both shy and afraid of humans, and the animal advocates thought they could buy him some more time to find a new loving home.
But no one seemed to want Teddy. His former owner was gone without a trace and nobody was particularly keen on adopting a senior dog.
Then thankfully, a hero named Jessie stepped forward. He had cared for Teddy at Alta Vista Animal Hospital and was one of the few people that Teddy trusted.
Now, Teddy is better than ever and lives on Jessie’s farm along with several other dogs, according to his Facebook page.
He gets plenty of food, runs free and lives in peace. Isn t that wonderful?
