Londoners enjoyed two days of parades, dancing and entertainment at Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday and Monday, but not without the heavy presence of police among the crowd.
More than 200 were arrested as officers uncovered knives and other offensive weapons from revelers at Notting Hill carnival, local media reported, with some detained on charges of police officer assault, drink driving and drug use.
An estimated one million people are believed to have attended the carnival, which saw the public in colorful costumes and high spirits despite the heavy downpours on Sunday.
