Facebook to Run on 100 Percent Renewable Energy by 2020 Facebook is on a mission to reduce its greenhouse
gas emissions. The social giant announced it is reducing emissions by 75%. By the end of 2020, all of the company’s operations will run on renewable energy. Facebook signed contracts for more than 3 gigawatts of new clean energy. Wind and solar energy will power many of its data centers across America. Last year, Facebook reached 51% renewable energy. Facebook isn’t the only tech company pledging to
go green. Samsung, Apple and Google have all made promises to make their operations run on renewable energy.
