Revellers took to the streets as part of an early-morning Trinidadian festival in New York.
Footage filmed early on Monday morning (September 3) shows people marching through the streets alongside floats and flags from various Caribbean nations.
Some are pictured grinding on the floor while others get covered in paint.
The Trinidadian carnival celebration of J'ouvert, which is now celebrated widely across the Caribbean, starts early in the morning and peaks around sunrise.
This year, the festival took place under tight security after incidences of violence in the past.
