It's Friday and that means it's time for another interview! Today we're chatting with UK crusher Sam Hamer.
Sam had a pretty huge 2014, ticking off trad routes galore in the UK, before hitting some sport and bouldering projects in South Africa, the country of his birth. Sam talks to us about his passion for all things rock, including his new-found love for deep water solo. He also reflects on his relationship with his brother and long-term climbing partner Ed. The boys frequently work routes together and provide support on each other's separate projects. Despite performing at different levels for much of their climbing careers, the lads have developed a successful partnership that stands amongst the strongest climbing duos in the world. While they generally have a positive, encouraging relationship, Sam does admit to the odd bit of sibling rivalry from time to time; but hey, that's only natural.
