Expelled DMK leader M K Alagiri will be holding the much publicised rally in Chennai today. It is being touted as a show of strength by his supporters. The silent march will lead to Karunanidhi's grave at Marina bay. The rally is being conducted to pay homage to the Kaignar. Days ago, in a U turn from his earlier stand, Alagiri had requested the DMK to readmit him into the party, and that he was ready to accept MK Stalin as his leader.
