Cameras on the International Space Station captured Tropical Storm Gordon moving across the Gulf of Mexico on September 4.

The storm made landfall on the Mississippi coast late on September 4, the National Weather Service said.

The International Space Station Facebook account reported that the storm was moving northwest at about 15 miles an hour.

The National Hurricane Center reported that the storm weakened to a tropical depression as it moved inland but warned of heavy rain and flooding. Credit: International Space Station via Storyful
