Detectives probing the murder of university student Sharon Otieno are now trailing their focus on Migori governor Okoth Obado as a person of interest after preliminary investigations revealed a trail of communication between the governor, his aide and the deceased woman.
Sources privy to the investigations say the governor spoke to the late Sharon at least six times on the day of her abduction.
Investigations have also established that the late Sharon sent a text message to the governor asking him what was happening, after his aide abandoned her in the hands of unknown persons believed to be members of the dreaded, Gaza criminal gang based in Nairobi's in Kayole,area.
