The U.S. State Department said it will "respond accordingly", were North Korea not to keep its promise to denuclearize, in response to a news report that Pyeongyang had been ramping up efforts to conceal its nuclear activity.
According to VOA News on Tuesday, an official from the U.S. State Department said, (quote) “We take Kim Jong-un at his word that he intends to denuclearize. If we find that is not the case, we will respond accordingly."
The response comes after NBC News, citing three senior U.S. officials, reported that North Korea has been building structures to obscure the entrance to a warhead storage facility.
