According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, the Vostok-2018 drills are to be held from 11 to 17 September, in the Far East of Russian, footage from Monday shows.

Reportedly around 300,000 troops, 1,000 aircraft, 36,000 armoured vehicles and 80 vessels are to take part in the drills.

The forces' leadership will be exercising their ability to implement command and redeployment of personnel and hardware and organise the interplay between the Army and the Navy.
