South Korea's Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon, now in Vladivostok to attend the Eastern Economic Forum, is set for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming hours.
Officials say Lee will discuss ways to implement what was agreed in June between President Moon Jae-in and Putin, which includes efforts to establish permanent peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
The PM is likely to emphasize the proposed "nine bridges" of bilateral cooperation, including gas, railway and shipbuilding.
Lee is also scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the forum this afternoon, and put forth the result and the future direction of Seoul's New Northern Policy.
