भाद्रपद मास के शुक्लपक्ष की द्वादशी को वामन द्वादशी या वामन जयंती के रुप में मनाया जाता है. धर्म ग्रंथों के अनुसार इसी शुभ तिथि को श्रवण नक्षत्र के अभिजित मुहूर्त में श्री विष्णु के अन्य रुप भगवान वामन का अवतार हुआ था. इस वर्ष वामन जयंती, 21 सितंबर 2018 को मनाई जाएगी.
