트럼프 관세폭탄, 월마트에 직격탄…"매출 10% 중국산 의존"
The U.S. retail giant Walmart is reported to have urged the Trump administration to roll back on its new tariffs on Chinese imports.
CNN Money reports that Walmart sent a letter to Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, saying the tariffs would hurt its customers, its suppliers and the U.S. economy.
Despite the plea, the White House pushed forward with 10 percent tariffs on 200 billion dollars-worth of Chinese products, which will take effect next week.
The retailer was also joined by other companies, such as Apple in trying to persuade Washington against imposed fresh duties.
About 10 percent of Walmart's sales last year was linked to China.
