According to Business Insider, Walmart has asked the Trump administration to reconsider the implementation of new tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods. In a letter sent two weeks ago to US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, the retailer warned that the immediate impact of the tariffs "will be to raise prices on consumers and tax American business and manufacturers." The letter did not accomplish anything, as the tariffs were announced on Monday.
