Fire crews employ Super Scooper aircrafts to fight growing Charlie Fire

Firefighters continued to fight the fast-moving Charlie Fire near Castaic, northwest of Los Angeles, on Sunday, September 23.

According to local media, the blaze broke out at 2:40 pm on Saturday, spreading quickly and prompting evacuations in the area. Roads in the vicinity were also shut.

On Sunday, the fire shot up a huge pyrocumulus cloud visible from as far away as the Los Angeles Airport.

This video, filmed at Castaic Lake on Saturday afternoon, shows Super Scooper aircrafts picking up water to fight the flames.

Latest figures showed the fire at 3,380 acres with 20% containment. Officials said no structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
