The National Weather Service revised down its crest prediction for the Waccamaw River in Conway, South Carolina, on September 26, and said the river would likely crest later in the day and hold for several days before receding.
Conway officials took a helicopter tour of the city on Wednesday morning, checking flooded neighborhoods and planning for eventual recovery efforts.
