One of two suspects in the Novichok poisoning in Britain has been identified as a decorated colonel of Russia's military intelligence.
The investigative website Bellingcat reported Wednesday that after a joint investigation with the Insider, the man identified by London as Ruslan Boshirov is actually GRU Colonel Anatoly Chepiga.
The two suspects have been charged with the attempted murders of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, as well as conspiracy.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly claimed that the pair have no links to the Kremlin.
