National Assembly speaker Moon Hee-sang, met with the floor leaders of Korea's three negotiating blocs on Monday to discuss diplomatic and political issues.
During the meeting, which kicked off at 11 a.m., the leaders spoke of how they will carry out the upcoming inter-Korean parliamentary talks agreed upon by North Korea last week, as well as the ratification of the Panmunjeom declaration signed by the two Koreas.
They also held discussions on the current row surrounding the main opposition Liberty Korea Party lawmaker Shim Jae-cheol's disclosure of confidential government data on the Blue House's alleged misuse of the state budget.
The government has filed a complaint against Shim for illegally getting access to such "unauthorized" data.
Though no agreement seems to have been reached yet, rival parties vowed to come up with a compromise as soon as possible, stressing the need for a well-governed parliament.
