Locals in earthquake-hit Palu City siphoned petrol from gas station trucks in the aftermath of the deadly disaster, which left at least 832 dead on the island of Sulawesi.
This video, filmed at a gas station in North Palu, shows Palu residents manually pumping fuel from the truck. None of the city's gas stations were in operation following the earthquake and tsunami that hit on Friday.
Supermarkets and stores across Sulawesi have been looted as supplies ran short in the disaster-struck island.
According to media, mass burials were underway on Monday, October 1 to mourn the loss of over 800 lives. The death toll remains unconfirmed and likely to rise as the regencies of Donggala, Sigi and Parigi Moutong, with a combined population of 1.2 million, yet to be fully assessed.
