eBay Claims Amazon Is 'Poaching' Merchants off Its Platform Amazon has allegedly been trying to sway merchants and vendors over from
other websites. eBay says it has found messages in which Amazon employees sought to skirt the company's content monitoring. eBay alleges the actions violate the
California Comprehensive Computer Data Access and Fraud Act. eBay adds the "scheme" has been going on for several years and in many countries. This week, eBay even issued a
cease-and-desist letter. eBay, via statement An Amazon spokesperson says the company is "conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations."
