नवरात्रि के दूसरे दिन यानि द्वितिया तिथि को मां ब्रह्मचारिणी की पूजा की जाती है. छात्रों और तपस्वियों के लिए इनकी पूजा बहुत ही शुभ फलदायी मानी जाती है और जिन लोगों का चंद्रमा कमजोर होता है, उन्हें इनकी उपासना जरूर करनी चाहिए. नवरात्रि के दूसरे दिन मां ब्रह्मचारिणी को चीनी का भोग लगाना चाहिए और ब्राह्मण को चीनी दान करना चाहिए. मान्यता है कि ऐसा करने से मनुष्य दीर्घायु होता है.
