As the number of people infected with Zika virus rose to 100 in Rajasthan Wednesday, the Centre rushed an Indian Council of Medical Research team to the state to intensify vector control measures.Of the total affected people, 23 are pregnant women, said a health ministry official in Delhi, adding that the 20 new Zika cases confirmed Wednesday were from Jaipur and two neighbouring districts.

ఓ వైపు రాజస్థాన్‌లో ఎన్నికల సందడి నెలకొనగా మరో వైపు ఆ రాష్ట్రాన్ని జికా వైరస్ వణికిస్తోంది. ఇప్పటి వరకు 100 జికా వైరస్ కేసులు నమోదైనట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. పరిస్థితి ఆందోళనకరంగా మారుతుండటంతో కేంద్రం ఇండియన్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ మెడికల్ రీసెర్చ్ టీమ్‌ను ఆగమేఘాలపై రాజస్థాన్‌కు తరలించింది. వెంటనే తగు జాగ్రత్త చర్యలు తీసుకోవాల్సిందిగా వారికి సూచించింది. మొత్తం 100 మందికి జికా వైరస్ లక్షణాలు కనిపించగా అందులో 23 మంది గర్భిణిలు ఉన్నట్లు ఢిల్లీ ఆరోగ్యశాఖ తెలిపింది.
