In Amritsar train accident, 70 people have been killed and 51 are reported injured in Amritsar’s Joda Phatak area. Hundreds of people were gathered at the railway track to watch an effigy burn and suddenly Dussehra turned into a Amritsar hadsa as an extremely fast train approached the station and within seconds more than 50 people were killed while several have been injured. The train driver was given a green signal in the videos that have emerged, proving the criminal negligence at the hands of railway authorities. The Punjab CM has announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the kin of the dead and free treatment for those injured.
