QINGDAO, CHINA — A Chinese man's social credit is taking a hit after his outburst on an airline employee was caught on camera.
CCTV footage uploaded on Chinese site Pear media shows the man, surnamed Wu, at the Qingdao airport. He's seen arguing with the male worker behind the counter before suddenly reaching over and slapping the poor guy in the face with his iPhone 6.
Wu had reportedly been raging over his flight being cancelled the day before due to bad weather.
The the airline had already given him free accommodation and compensation, but clearly the man was itching to take it out on someone.
The worker didn't retaliate.
Police later arrived and detained Wu for 10 days, and have reportedly put him on China's travel blacklist.
