C# Chord Piano | C Sharp Major 3-note Chord (Triad) and how to do inversions of the chord.

From the chord symbol C# we get this information:

C# is the root note - The basis that gives name to the chord
C# is a 3-note chord - a triad
C# is a major chord

Because C# is a 3-note chord, a triad, it also has three different inversions. An inversion means that once you have found the 3 notes of your chord - it doesn’t matter which note is at the top of the chord, in the middle of the chord - or in the bottom of the chord. As long as you only use the same three notes - it’s still the same chord.

C# Chord Piano - Root inversion (Root note at the bottom of the chord): C# - E# - G#

C# Chord Piano - 1st. inversion (Root note at the top of the chord): E# - G# - C#

C# Chord Piano - 2nd. inversion (Root note in the middle of the chord): G# - C# - E#

C# chord is the first chord of the X Major Scale - Notes in the scale are:
C# - D# - E# - F# - G# - A# - B# - C#
