A 24 hour Bandh has been called today by a students body in Tinsukia. In protest against the killings of five people who were shot dead by suspected ULFA terrorists. The attack happened weeks after the outlawed ULFA outfit detonated a low-intensity bomb in Guwahati on October 13 to protest against the centre’s bid to pass the citizenship (amendment) bill, 2016. While ULFA has denied responsibility congress has stepped up protests against the Sonowal Govt. TMC again suggested the attack was a fallout of the recent NRC exercise in Assam.
