Palau, a tiny island nation in the Pacific, plans to ban most types of sunscreen. Huff Post reports that the decision has been made in an effort to protect the country’s sensitive eco-structure, as well as a step towards helping some of the planet’s coral reefs. President Tommy Remengesau signed new legislation that will ban “reef toxic” sunscreens beginning in 2020. Tourist found traveling to Palau with the offending substance will have the products confiscated.
