Chris Christie May Become the Next US Attorney General President Donald Trump forced
Jeff Sessions out of the role after
the Democrats won back the House. Christie previously endorsed Trump after dropping out of the
2016 presidential race. Before becoming governor, Christie served as a U.S. Attorney in New Jersey from 2002 to 2008. Former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani and outgoing Florida AG Pam Bondi are being considered for
the role as well. As is former Attorney General
William Barr, who served under
President George H. W. Bush.
