Halted by US Judge District Court Judge Brian Morris' ruling came in a lawsuit environmental groups filed against the
U.S. government last year. Morris claims the government did not complete a full analysis of the environmental impact of the TransCanada project. He adds the defendants must now issue a more thorough inspection. The decision is a big setback for TransCanada and could delay the construction of the 1,180 mile pipeline. who have spent over a decade fighting against the pipeline which will cost over $8 billion.
