South Korea's Unification Minister says peace and prosperity will come to the Korean Peninsula when military tensions are eased.
Speaking at a friendship event for North Korean defectors and South Korean citizens in Incheon on Saturday,... Cho Myoung-gyon said people have seen how inter-Korean relations have improved this year, adding that peace and unification are not grand goals in the distant future,... but the process of getting to know each other and living together.
The minister stressed that the government will do its utmost to help North Korean defectors settle in the South and give them the opportunity to visit their homes back in the North one day.
