Kellyanne Conway's Twitter bio seems to be a response to recent news stories about her husband.
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is attracting attention for temporarily re-writing her Twitter bio to read, "The 'Kellyanne Conway' in 'Kellyanne Conway's Husband.'"
According to Newsweek, the change was spotted Friday, though as of Sunday, it says, "Mom. Patriot. Catholic. Counselor."
There has been speculation that the brief move may have been made in response to the stories covering her husband George Conway's recent criticisms of the Trump administration.
He said on the Yahoo News podcast "Skullduggery" that he withdrew from being considered for a Justice Department position because, in his words, "The administration is like a s***show in a dumpster fire, and I'm like, I don't want to do that...If I get this door prize, I'm going to be in the middle of a department (Trump) is at war with."
He also said of his wife's views about his outspokenness: "I don't think she likes it. But I've told her, I don't like the administration, so it's even."
She has, in fact, expressed her displeasure about his negative comments, telling the Washington Post in a profile about her and her husband from August, "I think it's disrespectful. I think it disrespects his wife."
Her temporary bio, in fact, seemed to reference a dismissive comment President Trump made about her husband, a lawyer, when he was asked about a New York Times' op-ed George Conway had co-written blasting the administration's decision to install an acting attorney general without Senate confirmation.
"You mean Mr. Kellyanne Conway?" Trump said last week. "He's just trying to get publicity for himself."
