According to Digital Trends around 39 million Americans own a smart speaker. A survey by Venture Beat shows that most people use their devices for core functions. Additionally, they are used multiple times a day and skew slightly more female than male. Seventy--five percent said the most common use for the speaker was to play music. Other uses include checking the weather, shopping and setting reminders and timers.
