Team India decided to drop wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal from their Playing XI against Australia for the opening game. Many felt that the spinner should have been included in the side for the first T20I but the management preferred Krunal Pandya over him. The possible reason why Pandya was picked up ahead of Chahal could be that the former is a decent lower order batsman apart from being a handy spinner.
