The number of airplane passengers in South Korea reached a record-high last month... mainly due to a growing number of foreign tourists and the rise of domestic low-cost carriers.
Data released Sunday by the transport ministry show passenger numbers climbed in October by nearly seven-percent from the same month last year to around ten-point-one-million.
In particular, the ministry cited a soaring number of Chinese visitors to Korea.
The number of passengers on international flights increased by 12-percent on-year in October to reach a monthly record of more than 7-point-3-million.
