The Panigale V4 R is positioned as the maximum expression of Ducati racing bikes approved for road use. Compared to the previous "R" version, the Panigale V4 R is even more specialized. The changes are not limited to the engine and suspension, but for the first time include the hull, designed directly by Ducati Corse in collaboration with the Ducati Style Center to improve aerodynamic efficiency on the track.
The Panigale V4 R is a racing bike of the WSBK category approved for road use and represents the starting technical base from which the official Ducati Superbike derive from the 2019 season. The new Panigale V4 R combines the essence of the Panigale V4 S to the specific modifications requested by Ducati Corse to be competitive in the race. The V3 at 90 ° from 1,103 cm3 gives way to the Desmosedici Stradale R from 998 cm3 to fall within the limits of displacement imposed by the WSBK championship. The bike is dressed with a new hull that integrates the aerodynamic appendages of MotoGP derivation, the Öhlins suspension are racing type with mechanical adjustment and the aluminum swingarm has the adjustable pin on four positions. The frame "Front Frame" is modified to achieve specific stiffness targets shared with Ducati Corse. The sophisticated electronic controls borrowed from the Panigale V4 S have been revised in the intervention thresholds to better suit the professional pilots.
