According to Refinery 29, US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent surgery for lung cancer.
Justice Ginsburg was recently diagnosed with an early stage lung cancer after five lobes were found in her lungs.
A spokesperson for the Supreme Court said that Justice Ginsburg had lobes removed during surgery.
A statement from the Supreme Court indicated that a pathology evaluation determined the nodules removed during surgery were malignant.
