A dawn to dusk shutdown called by right wing organisations in Kerala after 2 women under the age of 50 entered the temple witnessed widespread violence as protesters resorted to pelting stones and blocking in roads bringing the state to a standstill. The demonstrations which were spearheaded by political parties in different parts of the state led to clashes between the protesting right wing and leftist, groups, violence has led to the death of one BJP worker and as many as 750 arrests were made in the state today.
