According to the Huffington Post, Joshua Tree National Park will remain open after temporarily closing due to a government shutdown.
The National Park Service used revenue from recreation fees to hire maintenance crews that cleaned up overflowing toilets and trash.
The lack of waste management forced the national park to temporarily close due to problems with sanitation.
