According to Reuters, technology and industrial shares dragged on Wall Street.
By the afternoon on Jan. 14th, Boeing and Caterpillar recorded losses on the day, along with the Philadelphia SE semiconductor index.
Those losses weighed on the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which shed 73-points during morning trading, falling to 23,922.
But they also affected the S&P 500, which shrank by half a percent on the day.
