Since last week, South Korea has confirmed three cases of foot-and-mouth disease at cow farms.
Now, as part of efforts to stop it from spreading, the government's named this Monday "National Disinfection Day" and is sending resources to disinfect farms and other facilities across the country.
The agriculture ministry says it plans to use around 13-hundred pieces of equipment, including long-range fan sprayers and drones.
Though the ministry has vaccinated some 13-million cows and pigs since last week , the government is still advising people to avoid animal farms while traveling over the holiday.
The infected animals were in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do Province and Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do Province.
