Police make arrests as students participating in the #SchoolStrike4Climate protests block roads and stop traffic.

Several thousand students converged on Parliament Square at 11:00am. Some protesters participated in impromptu marches along Whitehall and gathered outside Downing Street, chanting, “do your job” and, “we want change."

A press officer at New Scotland Yard said two people had been arrested during the protest, one for obstruction and a second for a public order offence. A third was later released without charge.
