9/11 Victims Fund Cuts Payouts The September 11th Victim Compensation
Fund was opened in 2011 to help pay for injuries caused by exposure to the attack sites. The original $7.3 billion fund has dropped to
$2.3 billion, with 19,000 unpaid claims. These pending claims will now be paid
at half of their prior amount, with new
